“If you think about it, you bring about it, if you focus on it, it grows.” Dr. Mara Czegel Richman, PhD specializes in couples therapy, anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship issues, cultural differences, and day-to-day issues. Grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapies, her work focuses on a collaborative effort as team.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Mara worked as a researcher, focusing on anxiety disorders and borderline personality disorder. Her training was done at Harvard Medical School, the University of Pennsylvania, and abroad in Budapest, Hungary, where she was a Fulbright scholar. Her research has informed her therapeutic work, allowing her to draw on evidence based practices and observational work. Her PhD and MA are in Clinical Psychology.
Mara lived for 6 years in Europe, which has allowed her to provide a unique cultural lens on her work.
